RDF Media for C4

Scrapheap Challenge was a UK institution; the mother of all ‘build’ TV shows and the most amazing place to learn and grow and I had the great pleasure to be involved with the show on and off from before its start (I actually auditioned and failed to take part in the first series).  I was an expert five times and then was full time engineering crew for 2 series.

The variety of engineering styles and technologies was vast, the pace of build was ridiculous and the sheer effort involved was off the scale for week after week.  It taught me how to distil a job down to its key elements and then do those 5 times faster than anyone thought possible, in a harsh environment with not enough labour, materials or tools.  An amazing experience.
